It’s Beginning to Look More Like Christmas

I think my priorities are super messed up. Ha. Instead of getting food, I decided to get lights, a tree, and ordainments. I didn’t spend THAT much, but still. I have some money from my settling in allowance, so it’s all good. I’ll shop for food like soon. I don’t know when I’ll have time. Maybe Friday. This made me so much HAPPIER than food!!! Sure, Christmas isn’t ALL about decorations, but it helps me cope with the fact that it is a huge holiday and I’m no where near my friends or family. Also, that I have missed Christmas events that I’ve attended in the past, as well as ones I am missing in the weeks coming. Just kinda lonely. Rural Jamaica doesn’t really do Christmas decorations, either. I miss driving around to look at all the lights. :-/ I miss the breath of fresh cold air. The most I guess to cold is when I shower. Otherwise it’s still hot. A good 86 degrees almost every day. I guess nights might get chilly, but not the same. *sigh* Maybe I’ll come home next year, who knows. I’m sure before I know it, it will already be next year.

Everything is already going by so fast! This Saturday, December 17, is our crowning of Miss Queensbury. Wooo! We have our Christmas treat for the kids during the day, then the crowning and lighting of the Tamarind Tree at night. :-) Should be fun. I’m stoked. Once this project is done, I’ll be able to focus on other projects.

Well, I am done with updates for now. I spent the whole day today organizing my life. I was finally able to get to some e-mails I have been meaning to get to for a long time. So between that and updating my blog, I feel MUCH better and far more relaxed. I now have to go to the last dance practice for the girls before this weekend’s opening number!! I have a strong feeling this is gonna take a couple hours, too. Good thing I have EVERYTHING FINISHED!!!
